Although the US has celebrated Black History Month every February since 1969, the UK only started officially celebrating it in 1987, thanks to activist Akyaaba Addai-Sebo. We now do so every October. This year, the BAME network invites you to come and celebrate the achievements and contributions of black people in the UK and around the world. People who, like Akyaaba, made and make a positive impact on communities. Join us for what will certainly be an inspiring event.
