What does the team do?

The management reporting team directly supports the business by driving the development and delivery of reporting and management information across the bank and the corresponding infrastructure to support this.

What does the role involve?

Reporting to the Head of Client Segment Management Reporting and focusing on the delivery of consolidated reporting, the FP&A Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the delivery of high quality financial analysis and the presentation of financial information.
  • Assisting the production of monthly management information reporting for the Specialist Bank Business Heads and Finance Management.
  • Building routines to ensure that the desired information can be produced to a consistently high standard on a periodic basis (monthly / quarterly).
  • Supporting the production of high-quality budgets and forecasts and understanding how these relate to the strategy of the businesses.
  • Production of weekly asset pipeline reporting.
  • Production and co-ordination of consolidated daily flash P&L reporting.
  • Engaging with IT teams to help automate and improve reporting, ensuring high quality analysis is available to our key stakeholders
  • Assisting with ad hoc reporting at a consolidated level for management reporting purposes.

What are we looking for in the successful candidate?

Technical knowledge / skills

  • Part-Qualified/Qualified Accountant.
  • Prior planning and analysis experience (desirable) 
  • Knowledge of Financial Services and Banking Products (desirable)
  • Strong Excel and data manipulation skills.
  • Knowledge of Hyperion or other MIS systems
  • Understanding of relevant risks and controls
  • Regulatory Knowledge as applicable to role (compulsory)
