Analytics Enablement Lead (11790)

About the Role: 

The Analytics Enablement Lead plays a crucial leadership role within Investec UK and has focus on developing, maturing and leading execution of the bank's analytics enablement strategy. This position is responsible for creating and driving a strategy that sets the vision, patterns, processes, tools, technologies and pave paths for our data domain teams, analytics practitioners, and other stakeholders in the bank to create high quality, impactful and valuable analytics solutions. Working closely with the Head of Data Platforms, you will help drive adoption and usage of analytical tools, particularly Power BI that are a part of the bank's data platform strategy. 

Key Roles and Responsibilities: 

Analytics Strategy and Policy Development:

  • Develop a comprehensive data analytics strategy that aligns with the organisation's overall goals and data strategy.
  • Establish and enforce policies, standards, and best practices for data analytics to ensure consistency, efficiency, and effectiveness across the organisation.
  • Lead the adoption of modern analytics methodologies, tools, and platforms, ensuring they align with business needs and technology trends

Leadership in the analytics community:

  • Foster a strong community of practice among data analysts and business intelligence professionals across the organisation, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Provide guidance and support to federated and embedded analytics teams teams, ensuring they effectively implement and adhere to analytics standards and practices.
  • Facilitate regular forums or workshops to discuss analytics trends, challenges, and opportunities for innovation within the organisation

Management of Analytics tools and platforms:

  • Collaborate with the Head of the Data Platform to ensure the analytics platform and tools meet the current and future needs of the organization. 
  • Oversee the selection, implementation, and optimization of analytics tools and platforms, ensuring they offer robust capabilities for data exploration, visualization, and advanced analytics.

Transition from Legacy Systems:

  • Manage the systematic deprecation of legacy analytics reports and systems, ensuring a smooth transition to modern analytics solutions with minimal disruption to business operations. 
  • Implement a tracking system to monitor the progress of legacy report deprecation, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and prepared for changes. 
  • Work closely with Technology teams, data engineering, and business units to prioritize the development and migration of key analytics reports and dashboards to the new platform.

As part of our collaborative & agile culture, our working week is 4 days in the office and one day remote.
