What does the team do?
The Team is responsible for underwriting credit applications with exposures greater than £150,000 ensuring adherence to the Bank's Risk Appetite and relevant Lending Policy and Standards.
What does the role involve?
The role will appraise and sanction new business proposals for IAF's asset finance and specialist lending across a range of assets/sectors with the proposals emanating from a wide number of business areas, including:
The transactions are introduced via AFG's third party introducers or direct sales force.
Primary responsibilities will also include initial assessment and due diligence of proposals, preparation of credit papers and their approval either under personal discretion or via presentation to the relevant Investec credit committee.
The role holder will additionally be responsible for reviewing and updating AFG's risk and credit policy documents in line IBP credit policy and legislation as and when required but at least on an annual basis reporting directly to the Head of Credit & Risk.
