Description of role and key responsibilities
Description of Role
• Collaboratively work with colleagues to provide advice and build relationships with existing and potential clients concerning general corporate finance matters and a range of activities including the disposals, acquisitions, fundraisings and mergers.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed financial models and valuation analysis
- Create major deal process deliverables, including pitch materials, confidential information memorandum, management presentations, etc.
- Support transaction execution process, coordination of deliverables and responsibility for day to day coordination
- Liaise with clients, counterparts and other advisors throughout the deal
- Collaborate with team from other parts of the bank for deal origination and execution
- Market analysis, target search, support overall business development efforts
- Managing, developing and mentoring analysts and participating in the recruitment efforts
Qualifications and Skills
- 3-4 years of M&A deal execution experience from a reputable Investment Bank, Boutique Advisory Firm or from Big 4 Corporate Finance / M&A / Transaction Services team
- Strong financial modelling and valuation skills
- Fluent in powerpoint, excel, and data platform (FactSet, CapitalIQ, etc)
- Proven track record of M&A transaction experience with demonstrable knowledge of M&A processes
- Financial acumen and aptitude for financial analysis, interpretation and presentation in marketing materials
- Able to work under pressure, in complex situations and deliver results.
- Problem solving aptitude
- Able to manage multiple engagements and shifting priorities
- Creativity and ability to innovate / think out of the box
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Can build rapport with clients
- Proactivity, energetic, enthusiastic and self-motivated
