Description of role and key responsibilities

Portfolio Monitoring and Reporting
•    Assist in reporting and monitoring investments.
•    Prepare valuations and contribute to accounting records.
•    Liaise with external auditors and develop internal reports for internal stakeholders such as the investment committee.
•    Support regulatory reporting, compliance and secure necessary approvals.
•    Assist with stress testing.

Regulatory Compliance 
•    Responsibility for onboarding investment partners and clients and liaising with Financial Crime.

Exit Strategy and Execution:
•    Identify and evaluate disposal opportunities including conducting market research to maximise investment value.
•    Execute disposal transactions, support the entirety of the process from draft term sheets, seeking internal approvals and assisting in the negotiation of the formal agreement.

Analysis and value creation
•    Analysis and interpretation of financial performance of the investments.
•    Assist with deriving value creation strategies.
•    Prepare and present analytical reports with key findings to internal stakeholders. 

Stakeholder Engagement
•    Support interactions with portfolio company stakeholders, including investor updates and board meetings.

Cross-Functional Support
•    Assist the desk head with various work streams and collaborate with other units on equity risk assessments.

Core skills, knowledge 

•    Relevant banking and investment experience.
•    Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in financial modelling.
•    Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
•    Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
•    Ability to assess risk.
•    Act with integrity and embrace the philosophy of treating our clients fairly.

Any other attributes that would be helpful, but not essential for the role 
•    Proactive, self-starter, with ‘can-do' attitude.
•    Comfortable in a small team environment, willing to roll up your sleeves and work on a legacy wind down mandate.
•    Strong relationship-management skills.
•    Prior experience in investment analysis, private equity, or corporate finance is preferred.
