Description of role and key responsibilities
This role has been created to provide operations base for Banking tasks that cannot be outsourced to South Africa. The role covers the supervision of a blend of operational activities undertaken in support of the HNW, Analogue Savings and HI businesses, including line management of resources in the Team.
Daily supervision of team resources
Performance development and management of team
Escalation point for all Banker and business related queries in relation to Banking Operations Analogue TB and Savings Services
Ensure ad-hoc services are available to Bankers such as collection of cash from HSBC or dealing with client walk in's to office
Act as conduit into Vendor Management team for escalation of any servicing issues
Operating management of driving the transition away from paper based tasks in the Banking Operations Team onto automation or exit
Responsibility for the supervision of the completion of excess management tasks in line with process and regulation
Implementation of process efficiency opportunities across excess management and other operational roles
Co-ordination and completion of KRI reporting dashboards for Banking Operations representation at Bank Operational KRI Forum ( across Digital and Analogue Teams )
Completion and custodian of operational resilience matrix for Banking Operations ( Analogue)
Point person into Technology and Vendor Management Team for completion of all regulatory reporting, such as Tax, FSCS etc (for Digital and Analogue Teams )
Oversight of Banking Operations Reconciliations to ensure outstanding items are cleared in timely manner and any associated risks appropriately escalated
Design of QA processes to appropriately monitor Banking Operations Activities
Setting of team OKR's and KPI's
Incident Management in partnership with Vendor Management team on any Incidents impacting Banking Operations services or processes
Point of cover for Digital Operations Team Lead for sickness and holidays etc
Participation in daily sprint planning for Digital Operations to maintain working knowledge of both Operational Teams
Active participation and leadership of the Retail Exit migration for Transactional Products for Operations
Build knowledge of Digital Savings environment across Business Savings and Direct to Consumer Savings for operational resilience and continuity
Build mastery of Live Chat Service as above
Support with general enquiries and investigations from Bankers
Manage open credit facility process

Do you have regulatory knowledge as applicable to the role?
