Our culture gives us our edge: we work hard to find colleagues who'll think out of the ordinary and we put them in environments where they'll flourish. We combine a flat structure with a focus on internal mobility. If you can bring an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to learn and collaborate to your work, this could be the boost your career deserves.

Job Description

Investec are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Banking Operations team as we look to digitise and rebuild our current account service proposition. This is an exciting role helping deliver this new service as we launch 3 new products to market, and we are looking for a BA with a blend of skills that include payments, retail banking and change.

You will be part of the Operations team, helping to co-create the operational design and delivery of a new transactional banking proposition for Investec, inclusive of both strategic, regulatory, payments, cards and account servicing change elements. The Bank will be launching 3 new products to market, across 3 differing client propositions, to suit the needs of its diverse client segments: High Net Worth, UK high income clients and South Africa High income clients.

You will have the opportunity to partner with multiple stakeholders to deliver an exciting and innovative current account proposition for the group, encompassing the full end to end components of the client's transactional lifecycle.

What you will be doing

•    Planning the business analysis effort and approach for the operational delivery of the transactional Banking proposition
•    Identifying and articulating Operational needs and evaluating and recommending viable solutions to meet these.
•    Eliciting, analysing, documenting, validating, and verifying requirements.
•    Defining, designing, and optimising processes ensuring they are fit for purpose, client centric, scalable, resilient and cost effective.
•    Communicating requirements to ensure a common understanding across stakeholder groups.
•    Evaluating that a solution meets requirements and the business need.
•    Stakeholder management at all levels.

What we are looking for

•    Extensive business analysis experience in financial services across the entire project lifeccyle – across all levels of the business; across geographies; both IT and non IT related.

•    You need the ability to work under pressure and to tight timeframes, managing and resolving different and sometimes conflicting requirements and priorities.
•    You will need to be comfortable working in an environment where you will be contributing your skills and experience to the Transactional Banking Product Team and wider change community.
•    You should have knowledge of the UK Retail Banking environment
•    Experience in the use of structured analysis methods, tools and techniques, e.g. stakeholder analysis, business case definition; target operating model definition; business process, function and data modelling
•    The ability to tailor and adapt the approach and deliverables to fit the needs of the project.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•    Leadership and facilitation of both small and large workshops with stakeholders of all levels.
•    Analytical thinking and problem solving abilities.
•    Objective facilitation skills to encourage collaboration, energise, and maintain participation.

Any other attributes that would be helpful, but not essential for the role
•  MS Project, Fluid and SharePoint skills desirable but not essential.

•   Industry-recognised business analysis certification, e.g. CCBA/CBAP, BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis, PBA-PMI.
