Investec is seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Analyst / PMO to join our Digital & Technology team in the Mumbai office. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a portfolio of projects within Investec's D&T department in India, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with the Bank's strategic objectives. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills to drive project success and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and budgets. Oversee execution to ensure adherence to plans.
  • Engage stakeholders at all levels to understand needs, manage expectations, and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify potential project risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors to ensure project deliverables are met. Monitor resource allocation and optimise utilisation.
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders. Maintain project documentation.
  • Implement quality control processes to ensure project deliverables meet the required standards and align with Investec's policies and procedures.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance project management processes and methodologies within the PMO.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure team members are engaged and performing at their best.

Core skills and knowledge:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, project management, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications is preferred.
  • Experience: 9+ years of experience in project management within the financial services or investment banking sector, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in project management and documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft 365 Tools, ADO, Trello, Visio, Confluence, SharePoint etc.). Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Interpersonal skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams.

Good to have :

Experience managing projects related to regulatory compliance, technology implementation, or operational efficiency improvements

Familarity with Waterfall and Agile methodologies and practices.
