Change Delivery Lead (3670)

Description

The ITS Change Delivery lead is responsible for assuring the delivery of change activities across ITS, as required to achieve beneficial change for the Investec group of companies globally.

This role leads the global ITS Change Delivery Office function and reports to the global Head of ITS Change Delivery. 

This is critical for the on-going successful delivery of the global ITS Change Delivery portfolio of change, and for managing the key stakeholder relationships with the portfolio across other Digital & Technology and business teams within the Investec group of companies.

The overall objective of the is to assure both the effective delivery of the ITS Change Delivery portfolio (working on the right things) and the efficient utilisation of people and funding (working in the right way), leading to the successful delivery of business value from ITS. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Have day-to-day operational oversight of the ITS Change Delivery process and governance structures required to ensure effective and efficient global delivery of infrastructure change across the Investec group of companies.
  • Have day-to-day operational oversight of a robust ‘Work Reception' process for ITS Change Delivery that captures all requests for infrastructure change from across Investec, and ensure an effective prioritisation of effort that meets the organisational needs and an efficient utilisation of available resources.
  • Assure the overall integrity of the ITS Change Delivery process through regular reporting on and monitoring of the on-going adherence with the ITS Change Delivery standards, and escalating any non-compliance issues to the global Head of ITS Change Delivery.
  • Assure the overall integrity of the ITS Change Delivery portfolio financial schedule through regular reporting on and monitoring of actual costs, collation of variance to approved budget comments, and escalating any portfolio budget issues to the global Head of ITS Change Delivery.
  • Assure the overall integrity of the ITS Change Delivery portfolio delivery schedule through regular reporting on and monitoring of change delivery progress and status reporting (including risks, issues and changes), and escalating any portfolio delivery schedule issues to the global Head of ITS Change Delivery.
  • Assure the overall integrity of the ITS Change Delivery portfolio people schedule through regular reporting on and monitoring of people availability and utilisation, and escalating any portfolio people schedule issues to the global Head of ITS Change Delivery.

  • Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and build respect at all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to create a sense of community amongst the members of the ITS Leadership Team and the ITS Change Delivery team members.
  • Good knowledge of multiple techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling portfolios.
  • Good knowledge of various change delivery methods e.g. Managing Successful Programmes (MSP), PRINCE2, agile (Scrum, Kanban etc).
  • Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures.
  • Good presence and gravitas with sufficient credibility to engage with key stakeholders across the organisation, and provide consistent leadership to change delivery teams across the global change delivery portfolio
  • Good problem solving skills and able to find ways of pre-empting issues
