Description of role and key responsibilities
This role is responsible for helping shape and deliver the content programme for the UK Bank. The role will be focused on our B2B banking segments, helping to drive growth through targeted, differentiated content programmes for our target audiences while boosting Investec's brand.
The candidate should have a strong editorial mind-set, experience in supporting commercial objectives through content marketing, a solid understanding of financial services and a keen interest in business and entrepreneurship, political and economic developments and how they affect our clients.
Strong stakeholder management, excellent communication skills, an eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure and deliver to consistently high standards are key. The role will be responsible for:

Technical skills and experience
At least 5 years' experience in content marketing, ideally within a corporate setting (experience in financial services is highly desirable)
Experience of working in a multi-channel B2B marketing environment, with a strong understanding of the benefits of different content formats and channels and how to activate them effectively for origination and engagement
Good understanding of the financial services sector and a natural interest in market trends, corporate and investment banking and current affairs
Experience of delivering against core brand and regulatory guidelines across product financial promotions
Track record of developing effective relationships with agencies and suppliers
Editorial mindset and excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience of working with web content management systems
Up to date with the latest innovations and changes in the content landscape, and the strategic insight to apply these to Investec
Experience working with analytics tools; ability to interpret and apply actionable insights from performance data
A solid understanding of journalistic ethics and experience operating within a regulated environment
Ability to tailor messages across different sectors and use different channels to optimise impact
Expertise in digital and social media marketing and able to leverage effectively to increase online engagement with content
