Description of role and key responsibilities

The role manages all aspects of the TRS credit process. Daily preparing, writing and presentation of credit applications for all clients within the Corporate client FX and Commodities hedging book. The management of excesses, collateral payments and system reconciliations. Finally, the development and ongoing maintenance and improvement of the desk's reporting techniques and capabilities.

  • The primary focus will be on delivering the credit support to our business relating to Foreign Exchange hedging lines – assisting with the construction, checking and submission of all standard credit applications
  • Liaise with the client facing sales and dealing teams to ensure appropriate limits are requested, rationalised and that all required information is received before submission (assisting sales people to ask key questions ahead of client meetings)
  • Take responsibility for the Annual Reviews of credit facilities for the client base. Deal with exceptions from the automated process and sponsor through appropriate forums
  • Ensure we maintain discipline around the MI of the credit position of our business
  • Act as the responsible credit steward for any client credit line breaches, explain and remedy these breaches in partnership with the client facing teams
  • Update limits in systems as necessary and maintain CRM and other key systems with client information
  • Active account monitoring – sending through updated financials and market updates from our listed clients
  • Assist in any projects/initiatives designed to streamline and improve the credit process.

This is an exciting development opportunity for someone who has a few years banking experience who is keen to learn and understand the workings of a dynamic fast-paced business that services mid-segment corporates, and adds substantial value to our PCG client proposition and growth strategy.

Location flexible with first few months in London to enable learning on the job.

Core Skills and Knowledge

  • Application of credit knowledge to ensure all relevant documentation and information is included within credit submissions
  • Ability to develop an understanding and articulate the forms of collateral/security which may be appropriate when offering FX and other hedging credit lines to counterparties
  • Ability to perform a level of credit analysis on SME balance sheets and related statement sufficient to rationalise and respond to questions around our facility requests
  • Interest and desire to learn about derivative products and solutions offered by banks to their customers
  • Highly computer literate, with good skills in Excel in particular
  • Strong administrative and prioritisation skills
  • Strong team and collaborative orientation
