Investec are looking for an IFRS9 Business Analyst to join their team and provide application development and IFRS9 Subject Matter Expertise to the Bank. This role sits within a small but extremely focused team who have excellent relationships with business stakeholders, along with flexibility and adaptability between providing both a detailed analysis function to the Business, whilst operating and enhancing the IFRS9 applications as a whole.
• Be part of the team that owns the IFRS9 calculation application, working with the business whilst enhancing the functionality and operability of the application• Oversee the data flow of the expected credit loss numbers generated in the modelling process to the relevant MI systems and the finance general ledger• Enhancing the existing processes, modifying the systems functionality for the review process and removing key man dependencies from the existing process• Rationalising and redesigning where appropriate the current database configuration• Engaging with stakeholders, external clients and/or Auditors• Work closely with Credit Reporting and Analytics, Capital, Finance and Credit team• Regulatory Knowledge as applicable to role (compulsory)• IFRS9 Financial Reporting Knowledge• SME Knowledge in the Credit Risk Domain• Experienced Business Analyst in Banking and Credit Risk applications• Knowledge of Agile methodology & Scrum/Kanban Framework• Ability to write and understand SQL (T-SQL & PL/SQL) • Good MS Excel skills • Good knowledge of best practice data structures and related system design• Strong analytical and debugging skills• Relevant experience working within a Banking Finance or Credit Risk business role would be advantageous• Knowledge of Data Warehousing and BI tools• Experience of developing business relationships with stakeholders at various levels across the organisation to get effective solution delivery • Ability to develop business relationships across the organisation to get effective solution delivery• Previous experience of working within multi-disciplined teams
