Roles and Responsibilities:
This role is a Dynamics 365 Product Owner & Functional Consultant with responsibility for ownership of Microsoft Dynamics for Investec Channel Islands; documenting requirements, designing, configuring and delivering Microsoft Dynamics solutions that support core banking operations, customer relationship management, and regulatory requirements. This role bridges business needs and technical delivery, ensuring that Dynamics platforms are aligned with banking processes and compliance standards.
Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage with business stakeholders across retail, corporate and digital banking teams to gather and document requirements.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and solution designs.
- Facilitate workshops, gap analysis, and process mapping sessions.
Solution Design & Configuration
- Configure Microsoft Dynamics (Dynamics 365 CRM, Customer Service, Sales, or Finance modules) to meet business requirements.
- Design end-to-end solutions aligned with banking workflows such as onboarding, KYC, loan processing, and customer servicing
- Ensure solutions follow best practices and are scalable and secure.
Implementation & Delivery
- Lead or support full lifecycle implementations including design, build, test, and deployment
- Collaborate with technical consultants and developers to ensure correct system integration
- Participate in data migration, system testing (UAT),and release management.
Compliance & Risk Awareness
- Ensure solutions align with financial regulations, data protection, and internal risk frameworks.
- Support audit processes and maintain proper documentation.
Support & Continuous Improvement
- Provide post-implementation support and troubleshoot functional issues.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimisation.
- Deliver user training and documentation.
Core Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM and/or Finance modules)
- Solid understanding of banking processes such as: Customer onboarding and KYC, Loans and credit lifecycle.
- Customer servicing and case management.
Business & Consulting Skills
- Requirements gathering and documentation of user stories.
- Process mapping and business analysis.
- Stakeholder management in complex environments.
Technical Awareness
- Understanding of integrations (APIs, middleware, core banking systems)
- Familiarity with data models, workflows, and reporting tools within Dynamics
- Awareness of Azure ecosystem is benficial.
Preferred Experience:
- Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals
- Microsoft Certified Power Platform Fundamentals
- Microsoft Certified Dynamics 365 Fundamentals
- Microsoft Certified Dynamics 365 Customer Service Functional Consultant
- Business Analysis qualifications.
Preferred experience:
- 2 years or more experience working within the banking sector.
- 2 years or more experience in a similar role with an in-depth understanding of change environment.
- Having or proactively developing strong product expertise in Microsoft Dynamics/Power Platform and understanding of the Banking industry.
- Experience of working in an Agile change environment.
- DevOps experience.
