What we're looking for

The Programme Team has a delivery and strategic planning capabilities which together creates and maintains an achievable and affordable change portfolio for Wealth.

Specifically, the Client Data Portfolio delivers a coherent and cohesive change portfolio which is driven by the firm's strategic objectives, in particular, Data Centric Change, Data Analysis, Governance and visualisation.

Our Strategic ambition is driving significant change that demands a renewed focus on data. This includes defining and embedding a clear approach to data governance to provide coherence, accessibility, quality and control across our data estate.

As a Delivery Manager, your primary role will be to drive the delivery of change. You will be responsible for leading the project, stakeholder management, prioritisation, solution development, implementation and benefits realisation.

A programme of works has been established to accelerate Data governance across the Business and a Delivery Manager is required with the expertise create the environment and controls, to drive business adoption and project delivery.

Your role 

  • We are looking for a driven Delivery Manager with a passion for and strong experience in Data governance (structured and unstructured).
  • You will be responsible for leading delivery of the Data governance project, creating and embedding policy, processes and behaviours, driving implementation and evidencing benefit into Business functions.
  • The project is comprehensive in tackling everything from data issue identification and remediation, establishment of group and BU policy, technology delivery where required, organisational refinement and culture change.
  • You will be responsible for driving delivery of the rollout of Micro-focus control point in conjunction with the Data Protection team to minimise unstructured data.
  • You will form excellent working relationships across business functions and third party suppliers.
  • You will work with management to identify hotspots and prioritise data governance activity.
  • You will be confident and knowledgeable across data disciplines with the ability to interact with a variety of functions including data architecture, data protection, development/engineering teams, Business data owners/stewards, product owners, project managers, scrum masters and testers.
  • You will locate and define new process improvement opportunities


What you bring to the table

  • A thorough understanding of Data and Data Governance within Financial Services.
  • A thorough understanding of Wealth Management business processes; familiar with the latest Wealth Management trends and challenges.
  • Experience of establishing new data governance processes and procedures, into a successful organisation, utilising technology to inform and optimise.
  • Extensive experience of influencing and delivering data centric change, in a complex multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Knowledge of data minimisation tooling and experience of rollout to data stewards
  • Experience in establishing Data Quality reporting regimes and embedding within business functions.
  • The ability to influence business stakeholders in adoption of data centric ideas and change.
  • Analytical and structured thinking with an appreciation of the value of control and compliance.
  • The ability to lead cross-functional teams to dive change.
  • Current with Data Protection and Information Security trends and practical implementation of associated regulation.
  • Experience of databases, data collection systems, data analytics, data mining engineering and segmentation techniques.
  • A clear understanding of practical change management, across various methodologies.
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings

Ideally, but not mandatory if experience can be demonstrated

  • BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
  • Full suite of Project/Programme management disciplines and approaches. (Agile, Scrum. OKRs)
  • Adept in MoSCoW, Process Mapping, Data Analysis and visualisation techniques.
  • Awareness of data technologies including SQL, MS Azure suite,MIcrofocus-control point, PowerBI/Qlikview
  • Stakeholder identification, analysis and management
  • Organisation modelling, business process analysis and business change identification
  • Evaluating options, preparing and presenting business cases
  • Running effective workshops to understand business requirements
  • Defining and analysing requirements within user stories
