Investec Europe have built an award winning Foreign exchange and risk management franchise in Ireland based on a high touch, high quality service supported by;

Highly experienced team, with the research and infrastructure of the wider Investec Group.


Description of role and key responsibilities

The Role: New Client Engagement

  • Seeking opportunities to identify prospective clients and generate new business opportunities for Investec Europe Limited.
  • Source and develop a portfolio of clients across a variety of industries and geographies.
  • Clearly articulating to prospective clients, how we can add value to their business, and demonstrating how we will fulfil on our promise of delivering a relationship based, high service experience.
  • Ensure that our full suite of services is provided to our client base.
  • Meet agreed targets for Treasury Product Sales.
  • Maintain an extensive knowledge of Treasury products and including our new digital platform – IX.
  • Identify and develop new distribution channels
  • Ensure high standards of professionalism and advice while adhering to all regulatory and compliance requirements.



Specific tasks:

  • Lead Qualification: Ensure leads in the sales CRM system are valid and complete
  • Data Mining: Best in class collection, retention and interpretation of information in the CRM system.
  • Research new leads and develop opportunities
  • Meet and strive to beat specific KPI's and targets

Core skills and knowledge

  • A Diploma or Degree in a Business, Finance, Marketing or Sales discipline.
  • APA in Savings and Investment
  • 5+ Years' experience in a financial services sales/account manager role preferably in a Treasury role.
  • Proven sales, networking and business development skills and expertise.
  • Strong client relationship management skills with a proven track record of effectively delivering for the client.
  • Ability to identify treasury risks and clearly explain how a client could mitigate those risks.
  • Specialist financial, market, competitor and banking knowledge with an ability to communicate clearly on current events, financial and political, which will impact markets and the client.
  • A good knowledge of corporate credit analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Be target driven.
  • Experience working in a team- oriented environment.
  • Be self-motivated with high levels of self-discipline and drive and the desire to make the role your own.
  • Act with integrity at all times embracing philosophy of treating customers fairly
  • Full Driving License
