Team Description

The role is in the Fees team is based in the Liverpool Office.  The Fees team is responsible for the charging of management fees for the whole of Investec Wealth & Investment, ensuring clients are set up correctly for fees & charging purposes.  The Fees team currently comprises three people and is looking to expand to ensure the team is capable of supporting the business with its strategic objectives and control requirements.

The role will require significant interaction with the Leeds based Management Accounts team, the Liverpool based Settlements Functions and the Investment Managers spread throughout the offices.

Description of role and key responsibilities

  • The processing of ad-hoc
  • The processing of leaver fees/charges for stock withdrawals
  • Initial commission processing – input of Journals to the system
  • Daily recording of previous day's fees – utilising internal systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Run reports on various systems
  • Monthly reconciliations – utilising Microsoft Excel
  • Client set up

  • Ability to meet deadlines and take ownership and responsibility for tasks
  • Be able to implement change in a controlled and structured way
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral, and an ability to communicate credibly within a professional environment, to all levels of staff
  • An eye for detail and the ability to consider, investigate and raise wider issues
  • A desire to maintain a high quality of output at all times
  • Smart, professional manner and appearance
  • Positive attitude and approachable personality
  • Strong IT skills, in particular Microsoft Office
  • Ability to increase work rate when required

Other attributes that would be helpful but not essential for the role

  • Previous experience in an investment management business would be advantageous (but is not a necessity)
  • Knowledge of the Fiscal system would be advantageous (but is not a necessity)
