Are you a passionate qualified accountant with Financial Services experience?
Join us as a Financial Accountant in Dublin and play a pivotal role in finance business partnering for our dynamic business units. This position offers an exciting opportunity to deepen your understanding of our innovative products and significantly contribute to the overall financial health of Investec.
What will you be doing?
- Finance business partnering responsibilities for front office business units including P&L reporting, capital and liquidity monitoring and the provision of appropriate management information to all business stakeholders
- Developing detailed understanding of products and business, and building strong relationships with business units and other stakeholders
- Month end management accounts preparation, including month end close activities such as posting journals, performing revenue and balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
- Maintaining and further developing the overall financial control environment
- Understanding accounting and regulatory factors (eg capital) as they pertain to the business or a specific product
- Liaising with both internal and external auditors facilitating efficient completion of financial audits
- Participation in budgeting and forecasting process, engaging stakeholders across the business
- Ongoing P&L, capital and liquidity reporting.
- Financial reporting, including preparation of annual financial statements.
- Support the preparation of ad-hoc management reports and participate in various process improvement initiatives
What are we looking for in you?
- Qualified Accountant
- Banking or financial services experience
- Capital and Liquidity accounting experience
- Membership of an appropriate professional body e.g. ACA/ACCA
- Knowledge of capital markets and treasury instruments desirable
- Strong technical accounting background
- Experience with management report development from multiple data sources preferred
- Strong I.T. aptitude e.g. Excel, Word, PowerBI
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ambitious, motivated
- Good team player
