Role Profile

Description of role and key responsibilities:

• Maintain a strong understanding of the relevant regulatory environment, including applicable regulations, rules and guidance, and ensure all Treasury activities are conducted in accordance with internal compliance requirements, policies, procedures and controls. 
• Support the effective management of the Bank's Asset and Liability Management (ALM) activities, with particular focus on liquidity and interest rate risk. 
• Manage and monitor the Bank's foreign exchange (FX) risk, ensuring exposures remain within approved risk appetite and authorised limits. 
• Produce, maintain and control interest rates and pricing across the Bank's liability products, ensuring appropriate consideration of market conditions, liquidity requirements and commercial objectives. 
• Partner with liability-gathering teams across all jurisdictions to support the achievement and, where possible, outperformance of cash and liquidity targets.  
• Monitor Treasury risk positions on a daily basis, proactively identifying and managing exposures to ensure the Bank remains within approved limits and risk appetite. 
• Manage surplus cash and liquidity efficiently through appropriate Treasury asset purchases and investments, balancing liquidity, risk, return and regulatory requirements. 
• Drive the optimisation of Treasury profitability, including the effective management of client pricing, spreads and trading positions within agreed risk parameters. 
• Contribute to the continued development and robustness of the Treasury risk management framework, ensuring appropriate controls, governance and oversight are maintained. 
• Work collaboratively with IBP Central Treasury and other Group stakeholders to support wider Treasury strategy and the achievement of Group objectives. 
• Partner with teams across IBCI to support new and existing client relationships, providing Treasury expertise and identifying opportunities to deliver appropriate solutions. 
• Maintain consistently high levels of service to internal and external clients, responding effectively to requirements and building strong, trusted relationships across the business. 

Essential Criteria

Core Skills and Knowledge: 

• Treasury/financial markets experience 
• Highly numerate 
• Expeditious decision making. 
• Client interface/interpersonal skills 
• Foreign exchange/interest rate proprietary and corporate trading. 
• Derivative product trading/development experience. 
• Economic and financial markets analysis.
