About the team: 

The Bank Funding Group brings together deposit gathering, funding strategy, treasury, liquidity management and related change programmes. Its purpose is to raise, manage and optimise the funding required to support Investec Bank plc's balance sheet and lending activities. 

Within the group, the Client Group Funding dealing team provides proactive cash-management services to partner platforms and corporate and institutional clients. The team works across Investec to deliver funding solutions and maintain strong relationships while supporting the bank's broader funding strategy. 

What will I be doing? 

As a Funding Associate, you will support the delivery of Investec's funding requirements across several channels. You will combine client and partner support, trade administration, product management and analysis while helping the Bank Funding Group improve and automate its processes. 

• Support the bank's funding activity. Help deliver funding requirements through the Bank Funding Group's various channels.
• Support client and partner relationships. Provide responsive assistance to partnership, corporate and institutional relationships, working closely with colleagues across Client Group Funding. 
• Complete trade and reconciliation activity. Book trades accurately, support client reconciliations and undertake related administrative responsibilities.
• Contribute to product management.Support the effective operation and ongoing development of funding products and channels.
• Improve processes. Identify opportunities to automate, optimise and simplify activity across the Bank Funding Group, including the effective use of AI. 
• Develop systemsexpertise. Build the knowledge and confidence to navigate front-end platforms used by the team, including Calypso, Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Power BI. 
• Apply analytical thinking.Use an inquisitive, detail-oriented approach to understand issues, assess information and support effective decisions. 
• Collaborate across Investec. Work closely with Treasury, Compliance, Legal, Settlements, Client Service and Trade Support to deliver accurate and timely outcomes. 

What do I need to bring? 

You will bring curiosity, strong analytical ability and a genuine interest in developing your knowledge of bank funding, client relationships and financial markets. 

• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to articulate Investec's proposition to external clients.
• Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the bank.
• An analytical and inquisitive mindset, with strong numeracy and written English skills.
• A proactive, self-starting approach, entrepreneurialspiritand a willingness to learn every aspect of the role. 
• The ability to work collaboratively while also managing individual responsibilities independently.
• Strong digital literacy and attention to detail, with an interest in developingexpertiseacross systems such as Calypso, Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Power BI. 
• An understanding of how AI can support efficiency across tasks and processes.
• An interest in broadening your professional qualifications and developing new skills.
• Relevant regulatory knowledge and a commitment to the Consumer Duty Principles and treating customers fairly.
• The willingness and ability to complete the required CISI Regulations and Derivatives examinations.
