What we're looking for

We are looking for a strong team player in the gathering, consolidation, validation, reconciliation, formatting and distribution of project, programme and change portfolio data (cost, people, performance, RAID, status).

  • Assist the Head of Business change and Portfolio leads to ensure projects adhere to agreed standards, processes and policies through the provision of effective guidance and related artifacts templates and training materials
  • Help create a single version of the truth for the team, the broader Technology team and its stakeholders - communicate effectively, ensuring coherence and clarity
  • The right candidate will further develop the Central PMO function to maximise value and service to the firm.

Your role 

  • Establish new, or build upon current, programme processes, including; change control, risk and issues management processes – ensuring they are fit for purpose and easy to follow
  • Coordination and tracking of the programme resource profile including; ensuring appropriate resource in place to achieve planned deliverables, on boarding & off boarding of Programme resources
  • Collate, quality assure and report regular programme work stream status
  • Act as escalation point for the PMO Analyst
  • Review of the change portfolio resource tracker ie. validation of data from senior stakeholders. In depth analysis to identify resource hotspots and report compilation / publishing
  • Quality review of monthly reporting packs for programme and portfolio governance forums
  • Review of weekly reports, ie. Timekeeping, Project Status updates
  • Liaising with Business Management and Finance to produce financial budget reports
  • Collation and validation , maintenance of portfolio risks and issues
  • Fundamentally responsible for Driving efficiency and transparency across the Programme recommending changes or improvements in both working practices and processes.
  • Being the key point of contact for changes and enhancements of the project management tool. (Fluid)
  • Own the change delivery life cycle
  • Supporting the Business Change leadership team with adhoc requirements.

What you bring to the table

  • Solid experience of developing and running a Central PMO Function
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage several priorities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Very strong financial skills and understanding of project budgeting
  • An excellent communicator at all levels
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Effective communication skills – written and spoken
  • Change management experience is critical – organisational and planning skills are essential
  • Strong background in Project Portfolio Management
  • Experience of various project management methodologies eg PRINCE2 and Agile/Scrum
  • Ability to articulate complex data in a easily digestible format
