Head of Regulatory Reporting (6850)

Description of role and key responsibilities
Responsible for a team of 5 people within the Prudential Advisory & Reporting team responsible for:
• Responsible for all BoE, SARB, COREP and PRA returns
• Driving the production of the quarter-end (and month-end) regulatory process for Investec plc and Investec Bank plc to ensure that the group complies with the prudential and statistical rules as prescribed by the PRA, SARB and BoE.
• Overseeing, producing and presenting the monthly capital positions for internal reporting.
• Streamline the above processes to improve efficiency including data clean up, process re-engineering etc.
• Prepare capital information for public disclosures (Pillar 3), BRCC, Annual Financial Statements, Recovery and Resolution Plan
• Internal and PRA driven ad-hoc queries
• Oversee the team in terms of system testing and enhancements on new reporting requirements
• Address ad-hoc queries from other departments regarding capital information
• Help to provide capital analysis for new EBA / PRA consultation papers and technical standards

 

Core skills and knowledge Knowledge & Experience:
• Strong accounting background
• Banking background with strong banking product knowledge
• Deep working knowledge of standardised rules for credit risk & market risk capital requirement calculation
• Working knowledge of CRDIV and Basel 3

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, particularly within team.
