Internal Auditor (3375)

 The successful candidate will have involvement with planning, coordination and conduct of audit reviews over each of these business areas, including IT teams and supporting technologies and systems.

Specifically:

  • Assist with scoping & performance of audit reviews as required
  • Conduct interviews to identify and assess processes
  • Identify risks / weaknesses / issues
  • Escalate risks / issues within the team
  • Draft reports for reviews performed
  • Take on Department Administration tasks as appropriate

 

What core skills and knowledge do we look for?

Qualifications and Experience:
• Degree educated or equivalent 
• Internal Audit experience in Banking / Financial Services

Wealth experience essential if working from our Liverpool or Leeds locations

Technical Knowledge:

  • Financial Services processes

Additional Skill:
• Interpersonal and communication skills / relationship building – applied in dealing with the business areas, interviewing staff as to the roles and identifying processes and controls within the business
• Report writing skills – applied in order to write audit reports on findings from reviews
• Project management skills – applied during audit reviews to ensure they are completed efficiently

Changes in the market, products, legislation & regulation relevant to the business area:
• Knowledge of industry trends / new technologies and best practices

Other attributes that would be helpful, but not essential for the role:

  • An understanding of IT controls testing.
  • An understanding of capital markets activities.
