Description of role and key responsibilities
Lead Auditor (when specified), responsibilities include:• Arranging the kick-off meetings for all audits.• Assign audit work to auditors.• Ensure all key audit documentation is completed to required standard by audit team and escalate to review manager where this is not being achieved.• Coaching and Developing the team members as required. • Writing and co-ordinating reports for reviews performed and contributing to audit committee reporting• Ensure audits are completed within budgeted time.• Follow up on audit issues and contribute to status reporting• Ensure that the Quality Assurance steps for the audit file are completed• Ensure that the Internal Feedback session is scheduled and completed within the required timeframe.
Auditor (as specified), responsibilities include:• Complete all audit work assigned in line with methodology and cover the required processes and risks. • Complete all key audit documentation to required standard and within budgeted timeframe.
Relationship Owner (as specified) (including subject matter experts) responsibilities include:• Work with the Head of Internal Audit and other Relationship Owners to ensure that the audit universe and audit programme are up-to-date and reflect the risks facing Investec Plc.• Arrange periodic meetings with assigned stakeholders, including where required attendance at key forums and committees.• Ensure stakeholders meetings are documented and included in Continuous Monitoring tracker.• Attend Continuous Monitoring meetings where information from stakeholder meetings is shared. • Building external and industry knowledge and relationships to ensure best practices are identified and incorporated into the Audit Universe as required. • Assist in the summary reporting of key risks to the Audit Committee
