We are looking for somebody to join the young, dynamic, and growing Technology Risk team within Investec Wealth & Investment reporting into the Head of Technology Risk.

The role is required to engage in technical control assessment across the technology landascape including Third Party Due Dilligence with the purpose of indentifying control gaps within the Technology estate.

A strong understanding of and experience in control testing is essential.

The ideal candidate has prior IT auditor experience and is familiar with SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) Architecture, Security, Support and Operations. The IT Controls Analyst position involves defining and conducting assessments and providing consulting services to management and users on information and systems risk and compliance.

We are looking for people who pay attention to detail and love finding creative and thoughtful solutions to a variety of compliance challenges.



  • Perform risk assessment using various industry standard frameworks
  • Assess the effectiveness of internal controls over key IT risk
  • Identify and recommend business process changes resulting in strengthened internal controls
  • Collaborate with control owners to implement process changes and track to completion
  • Advise and collaborate on projects by providing IT controls expertise and considerations
  • Perform sample audit and control testing across various areas of the technology estate.
  • Perform Third Party Due Dilligence for new Technology iniations and annually required assessment.


Experience and skill: 

  • 3 or more years of technology experience in one or more of the following areas: Technology Audit, Informaiton Security, Technical Risk Assessment.
  • Direct experience in Information Security, Technology Audits, Technology Controls or Technology Risk Management fields.
  • Strong understanding of the technology based control frameworks.
  • Abilty to manage multiple tasks and manage own time.
