About the team:
The IEL Risk Team sits within Investec Europe Limited and works at the heart of how we manage credit risk across our Treasury Products & Distribution (TPD) business. You'll work closely with the Head of Credit Risk, our TPD Sales Team, and Group Credit & Risk Management colleagues — acting as the key bridge between the Front Office and Credit on FX, derivatives and broader treasury activity. It's a highly interactive role with real exposure to Credit Committee, senior management and a broad cross-section of the business.
What will I be doing?
- Prepare new credit applications for the TPD Sales Team — recommending trading limits, assessing the creditstrengthand trading requirements of newly-signed clients, using approved internal rating models and credit assessment methodologies, and presenting at Desk Credit Committee or Senior Credit Committee for approval.
- Manage annual credit reviews for existing corporate clients — providing limit-change recommendations to Front Office based on a view of clients' financial and non-financial metrics, historical FX and other derivative activity, and discussing key risks with Credit Committee.
- MonitorFX credit exposures day-to-day, liaising with Credit and Group Credit on daily reports, sending queries to dealers and following up on any limit breaches.
- Run stress testing on current and proposed client exposures to support ongoing credit analysis and risk management.
- Prepare month-end and quarterly credit activity and credit exposure reports.
- Hold a weekly discussion with the Head of TPD to walk through upcoming credit reviews, limitchangesand margin issues.
- Work closely with Legal to ensure Facility Letters are received back — circulating Legal's weekly list to the Dealers and Sales Team and following up with clients directly.
- Take on ad hoc work for the Treasury Credit Team, including industry analysis, customer reports, screening of new clients, customer biographies for internal events, sales pipeline and sector analysis, limit utilisation and net exposure reports, regulatory working groups, and presentations for the new business team.
- Act as the day-to-day liaison between the TPD and Credit Teams — bringing a proactive, collaborative approach to keep both sides aligned.
- Take on project work end-to-end: research, design, implement and deliver projects asrequired.
- Provide Credit Committee with well-researched, clearly presented business, creditand financial analysis on existing and proposed deals.
- Prepare deal summaries and transaction updates for credit reporting.
- Act as a key point of contact for Credit Reporting — ensuring the accuracy of reporting dashboards and that they align with Risk Appetite and Senior Management requirements.
- Partner with the Credit Reporting team to shape forward-looking dashboard and portfolio reporting requirements.
- Work with Credit Risk Business Analysts to develop and formatmethodologyrequirements for trading book analysis, monitoring and reporting.

- Strong financial analysis skills — the ability to interpret financial statements and form a balanced credit judgment.
- A good understanding of FX, Interest Rate and Commodity Futures, Options,Swapsand other derivatives.
