Team Description
Foreign Exchange, Interest rate and Commodity risk solutions desk for mainly Irish Corporate and Institutional clients with hedging requirement.
Description of the role and key Responsibilities:
Specifically, the role will report to the Head of Foreign Exchange and will include:
- Building your Economic Market knowledge through reading economic reports and articles to enable you to engage with clients and to assist with the preparation of the Morning Commentary.
- Client dealing and order management.
- Key relationship point for the desk with Payments and Client Services Teams.
- Liaising with Risk on client credit limits and gaining an understanding or credit appetite.
- Legal on sourcing outstanding client documentation and due diligence.
- Compliance on completion of AML/KYC and LEI queries.
- Working with the Dealing team in deal processes and developing your skills.
- Working closely with the wider business on the rollout of the IX platform to our clients
- Daily desk administration tasks.
- The overall aim is to ensure exceptional client experience when clients engage with Investec Europe Ltd.
Core skills and knowledge
- Be highly collaborative with the ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders of different seniority, both with clients and within Investec.
- Have a strong work ethic and a commitment to high standards of work.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship management.
- A keen interest in Financial Markets.
- Currently have a min of APA in Savings and Investments or willing to study for this qualification.
Any other attributes that would be helpful, but not essential for the role.
- Third level qualification in a business-related area.
- European Language skills (particularly Dutch)
