Paralegal 6 Months FTC (3724)

Role: Paralegal (6 Months FTC) - 2 Positions Available

Location: London

What are the key responsibilities?

As part of the Legal Team, you will be primarily responsible for providing assistance and support to the existing team. The successful candidate will be expected to learn systems and processes quickly and demonstrate the necessary competencies to ensure instructions are carried out with speed, accuracy and efficiency.  This will include the following:

  • Drafting and pre-populating LIBOR amendments (based on template documentation) that remediate existing LIBOR provisions in existing credit agreements
  • Ensuring that all necessary ancillary documents are provided for valid execution of the amendment documents
  • Liaising with relevant desks to ensure the smooth remediation of LIBOR transactions
  • Assisting the project team with management information on progress of the LIBOR transition programme
  • Issuing the amendment packs which will include the terms and conditions and all supporting documents.
  • When required instructing external counsel
  • Developing an excellent administrative system including, for example, establishing and maintaining an effective filing system to ensure the completeness and accuracy of returned client documentation and that it is stored correctly.

What core skills and knowledge are we looking for?

  • To act with integrity at all times and embrace the philosophy of treating our customers fairly (compulsory)
  • Paralegal experience, preferably within a legal environment.
  • Have excellent/fast and accurate typing skills (65+ wpm).
  • Excellent software skills.
  • A spirit of co-operation with a positive and proactive ‘can do' attitude
  • Administrative support experience and/or aptitude
  • Experience in and/or aptitude for client service
  • Strong organisation skills, ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Commitment to the success of the business
  • Personable, but highly professional
  • Flexibility to work outside normal office hours may be required from time-to-time
