Team description |
The Corporate Banking Operating Model Workstream is designing and setting up a Service and Operations capability, which will enable high quality delivery to Corporate Banking Clients.
We are seeking an Operations Associate with:
· Ops Experience in Payments · 2-5 years' experience in an International Bank, in Operations · Work Experience in an offshore GCC would be a positive

Purpose of the Role |
To ensure successful delivery of the Target Operating Model by:
· Deliver high quality and productivity in Payments Operations

Description of role and key responsibilities |
· Process and monitor payment transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements. · Investigate and resolve payment exceptions and disputes in a timely manner, liaising with internal teams and external counterparties as required. · Support daily payment operations activities across multiple payment types, including domestic and international transfers. · Maintain thorough documentation of payment processes, transactions, and issue resolutions for audit and compliance purposes. · Assist in the implementation of payment system upgrades, process improvements, and automation initiatives within the operations team. · Collaborate with the onshore (UK) teams to ensure seamless end-to-end delivery of payment services and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) · Review and interpret MI dashboards to uncover patterns, identify operational bottlenecks, and highlight areas of risk. · Monitor and enhance Straight-Through Processing (STP) rates while reducing the need for manual interventions. · Participate in training and development activities to maintain up-to-date knowledge of payment systems, regulatory changes, and best practices. · Knowledge of reconciliation processes.

Core skills and knowledge |
· Experience in Operations for Payments · Experience of working in a transactional back-office operation · Knowledge of the end-to-end processes for Payments. · Basic understanding of UK Banking regulations and Payment Schemes. (CHAPS, Faster Payments, BACS/DD, T2, SEPA, FEDWIRE, CHIPS. · Good inter-personal and communication skills, both written and verbal. · Accuracy and attention to detail. · Be a team player. Collaborate with the team · 2-5 years' experience in an International Bank, in Operations
