You will be part of the One Payments Platform working closely with Product Management and Payments technology. You will help deliver change initiatives to build new services / products and support Investec Bank business units to integrate onto the Platform. This includes both strategic, regulatory and industry change.

These change initiatives may cover the entire project/ change lifecycle, starting at feasibility through to closure or parts thereof. All projects/change will be driven by business needs, regulatory requirements and/or industry hygiene; majority, but not all, will involve an IT component.

Key requirements of the role:

• You will need excellent knowledge of business analysis, including experience in multiple areas within financial services across the entire project lifecycle.
• You need the ability to work under pressure and to tight timeframes, managing and resolving different and sometimes conflicting requirements and priorities.
• You will be working in an environment where you will be accountable for delivery on individual projects or small change, and for contributing your skills and experience to the OPP team and wider change community.
• You may work on multiple projects and small change running concurrently and as such will need to manage conflicting priorities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning the business analysis effort and approach for projects and small change.
• Work with the Payments Product Management team to turn high-level requirements into detailed requirements and facilitate workshops to agree technical and operational solutions with relevant stakeholders. This can include internal OPP teams (Payments Tech & Product Management) as well as external teams to OPP.
• Where applicable, work closely with 3rd party vendors to ensure successful change delivery.
• Eliciting, analysing, documenting, validating and verifying requirements.
• Obtaining consensus and approval of requirements.
• Defining, designing and optimising processes ensuring they are fit for purpose, client centric, scalable, resilient and cost effective.
• Communicating requirements to ensure a common understanding across stakeholder.
• Ensuring the traceability of requirements and that changes to requirements are analysed, assessed, approved, communicated and managed throughout the life of the project.
• Evaluating that a solution meets requirements and the business.
• Planning and managing delivery of small change or project deliverables, including management of risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Stakeholder management.
• Sharing experience and learnings within the OPP team and wider change community.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Proven experience of business analysis in financial services – across all levels of the business; across geographies; both IT and non IT related.
• Experience delivering change within a Platform environment and/or working on Payment Projects.
• To learn and adopt different business analysis techniques appropriate and relevant to delivery scope e.g. stakeholder analysis, business case definition; target operating model definition; business process, function and data modelling, etc.
• Demonstrate communication skills both written and verbal using a variety of methods, the ability to get the message across and relative to the audience.
• Facilitation of small and potentially large workshops with stakeholders.
• Knowledge of both Agile and traditional Waterfall methodologies.
• Regulatory Knowledge as applicable to role (compulsory).
• To act with integrity at all times and embrace the philosophy of treating our customers fairly (compulsory).
• High level of proficiency in the use of MS Office productivity tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Industry recognised business analysis certification, e.g. CCBA/CBAP, BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis, PBA-PMI.
• Good Payment Regulatory and Industry knowledge.
• Good understanding of generic payment flows from Payment creation to Payment execution and beyond.
