About the team: 

The role sits within the Ireland business, currently aligned under Finance, and supports the end‑to‑end payroll process, including salary payments, deductions, and payroll reporting, while working closely with People & Organisation and wider stakeholders. The function acts as a key point of contact for payroll‑related queries, maintains strong controls and governance, and ensures continuity and reliability of payroll operations.

 

What will I be doing?

We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Payroll and Benefits Specialist to manage the end‑to‑end payroll process for a growing organisation of approximately 57 employees. The role serves as the primary liaison between Finance, People & Organisation, and outsourced payroll providers, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery across multiple jurisdictions, currently Ireland (Dublin) and the Netherlands (Amsterdam), with potential expansion across Europe. Key responsibilities include preparing and validating payroll inputs, reviewing payroll outputs, and ensuring full compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and reporting requirements. This is a fixed‑term, part‑time role offering flexibility through reduced working hours across the working week.

Payroll

  • Dedicated payroll specialist.
  • Manage payroll workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain employee payroll records. Review accuracy of data for all employees.
  • Understanding of taxation, benefits and other payroll elements.
  • Ensure month and year end payroll returns are completed and submitted to Revenue.
  • Provide Finance with reports and support as required.
  • Support payroll related projects.
  • Main point of contact for all payroll advice and queries.
  • Standardisation and optimisation of payroll and payroll processes.
  • Assist in payroll audits.

 

Management Information

  • Assist in maintaining and developing HR database system.
  • Prepare information, reports and metrics as required.

 

General

  • Responsible for implementing changes to benefits.
  • Preparation and distribution to the employee of information related to benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and regulatory. requirements related to compensation and benefits.
  • Preparation and maintenance of Share Schemes records including annual Share Schemes return to revenue.
  • Support preparation of other reporting including Gender Pay Gap, EU Transparency etc.
  • Support the Annual Reward Process preparation including Reward Statements.
  • Regulatory reporting (quarterly and annually) for key personnel including Director's Emoluments, Key Management Compensation, CSO Survey and other ad-hoc reports as required.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding pay, benefits, and compensation policies.

What do I need to bring?

Technical knowledge

  • Proven experience with payroll
  • Understanding of key implications of Taxation and PAYE system etc.
  • Familiarity with payroll reporting including regulatory reporting such as Gender Pay Gap etc
