What are we looking for in you?

Here at Investec we are creating a leading edge Talent Management Strategy across our Bank and Wealth businesses that really puts our people at the centre of what we do. This role will sit within our newly formed ‘Careers team' which includes people and talent consulting, recruitment, ER and internal and global mobility. We are looking for an energetic, passionate, creative and resilient individual to be an active team member and help champion talent management within our organisation.  To get real traction and create something fresh and different within our organisation and culture.  We believe in collaboration and seeing people as individuals, that is why our approach to performance is team based and we don't do a nine box grid, so we're looking for something more than your traditional performance and talent management strategy.

Key to this role will be;

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships, managing various stakeholder views and finding ways to seek consensus and move towards action
  • Championing the candidate and employee voice and not being afraid to be heard
  • Rolling up your sleeves and getting involved in the detail across the full employment life-cycle from recruitment through to career progression and succession
  • Experience in talent management or at least a passion for it, knowing approaches and theories and how they can be applied across different cultures and environments

We're open to your background, perhaps you have been with a consultancy and have worked with many companies or a start-up or FinTech environment where you have seen new approaches really take off and now want to bring them to life in a larger forward thinking entrepreneurial environment.  You will be familiar with high performing cultures and be a strategic thinker who is able to see the entire system and make recommendations accordingly. You will have an understanding of internal mobility, succession and contingency frameworks and how they are applied, along with experience in crafting career pathways.

You'll see we are not a traditional Financial Services business therefore experience of financial services is not essential.
