Role: Private Banker

Role Purpose:

The Private Banker (PB) will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of high-net-worth (HNW) clients, family offices, and professional clients. The PB will work closely with various departments within the Investec Group to ensure a seamless client experience and to generate new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop a portfolio of HNW clients, family offices, and professional clients proactively introducing the Bank's services, to include but not limited to:: current & savings accounts, FX, debit cards, real estate & Lombard lending, execution-only investment trading, investment custody and asset finance
• Maintain a high level of client satisfaction through proactive relationship management and excellent service delivery.
• Generate leads and referrals to other internal business partners within the Investec Group
• Engage with existing clients to generate wealth referrals to Rathbones International (Investec's strategic wealth partner)
• Collaborate with other parts of the Investec Group to enhance client service and business development
• Provide tailored financial solutions to meet the unique needs of clients.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Carry out Annual, Periodic and PEP risk reviews and transactional monitoring in a timely and efficient manner.
• To carry out ad hoc tasks as required from time to time and to own related projects that arise from time to time.
• Organising and attending bank and industry events

Key Objectives:

• Achieve individual and team targets for client retention and revenue growth.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance client engagement and satisfaction.
• Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive business growth.
• Continuously update knowledge of financial products, market trends, and regulatory changes.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in managing HNW clients, family offices, and professional clients.
• Strong understanding of financial products and services.
• A good understanding of lending parameters and products to generate lending opportunities to the Group.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Personal organisation and planning skills, proven time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across different departments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• A good all-round understanding of the Jersey marketplace such as residents, local business, industries, competition etc.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or relevant industry qualification (CFP, IAD, STEP etc)
