Role Overview
This position is responsible for selling the Private Client offering, as well as the broader Investec group offerings, to prospective clients in alignment with our target market and sector criteria.
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement
- Develop and maintain an active sales plan that is regularly reviewed, ensuring alignment with the needs of our target market and focusing on positive client outcomes.
- Utilize a comprehensive understanding of sales processes, data, and analytics to formulate and drive effective sales plans.
- Identify new opportunities within the sector, seek referrals, acquire new clients, and facilitate introductions to other areas of the group.
- Monitor performance through an in-depth understanding of business insights and management information (MI).
- Stay informed about the macro-economic and geopolitical environment to enhance client interactions.
- Ensure all client outcomes are guided by our consumer duty responsibilities, prioritizing what is right for the client to achieve favorable business results.
Targets
- Identify and engage with prospective clients to understand their requirements and generate opportunities for Private Client services and the wider Investec Group.
- Conduct meetings with prospective clients to build a pipeline of opportunities, ensuring a clear understanding of client needs and objectives with a commercial perspective.
- Manage all CRM data regarding prospective clients and efficiently follow up on all leads.
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers to drive new client acquisition and facilitate timely introductions to prospective clients.
Strategy & Commerciality
- Develop a thorough understanding of Investec's strategic priorities and the role of Private Client services in achieving these goals.
- Build extensive knowledge of our offerings and how they resonate with our target market, including the process of referring clients to the wider group and Rathbones (Wealth Opportunities).
