Private Client Lending Operations - Servicing Team Leader

As the Servicing Team Lead within Private Client Lending Operations, you will be responsible for managing the day to day workflow within the servicing team. You will be the go to person for escalated queries and are there to ensure the team provide excellent service to our clients whilst managing operational risk.

You will be expected to deliver a high quality of service to our clients, whilst building great relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure workflow is appropriately allocated and managed amongst the team to meet business and client expectations.
  • Be the go to point for the team and bankers when they need to escalate queries, helping them come to a suitable resolution for both the client and the bank.
  • Work with the Quality Assurance team within the wider Lending Operations to ensure continuing excellence in the team's quality and right first time.
  • Support the team with ongoing training and development, both at an individual and team level, including developing training plans for new team members and coaching existing team members to become experts in their field.
  • Represent Lending Operations at meetings with both internal and external stakeholders, including pipeline management meetings with the wider lending business
  • Reviewing and authorising deals & payments where necessary, in line with authorised signatory policy.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives focusing on items such as; platform development, improvement of the client experience, policy and procedural updates, system testing and implementation.

Core Skills and Knowledge:

  • You know what good looks like in Retail loan servicing
  • Experience in managing workflow and improving performance and quality across a team
  • Able to build and interpret MI to effectively manage team performance
  • Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels and representing the department at internal and external meetings
  • Experience in coaching individuals towards business and personal goals
  • Excellent knowledge of operational processes involved in mortgage and property lending, particularly in servicing and lifecycle deal management
  • A strong knowledge of the conveyancing process and different security structures involved in retail lending
  • Ability to balance client experience against business and operational risk

    • CeMap qualification and knowledge of the FCA MCOB handbook would be advantageous
