Description of role and key responsibilities
As a Completions Specialist within Private Client Lending Operations, you will be responsible for completing all due diligence on mortgages and loans in order to prepare them for completion. You will manage all cases post offer; from answering queries, to reviewing legal documentation, to setting the loan up on the system ready for drawdown.You will be expected to deliver a high quality of service to our clients, whilst building great relationships with our external solicitors and internal stakeholders.
Managing a pipeline of cases pro-actively and efficiently to ensure cases are moving from offer to completion in a timely manner
Liaising with internal teams (banking and credit) to resolve any issues that arise with security prior to drawdown
Answering queries from Solicitors by email or over the phone, making suitable resolve while ensuring any risk to Investec Bank is properly mitigated
Completing internal security reviews of existing charges for contract variations
Making sure all legal documents and conditions of the mortgage or loan are satisfied and correct prior to drawdown
Authorising loans to complete and arranging funds to be drawn down, including calculating and collection of all fees due under facilities
Responsibility for set up and maintenance of mortgage and HNW lending products – building loan structures into relevant source systems
Responsibility for capturing deal information required for regulatory reporting at point of drawdown
Core skills and Knowledge
• Do you possess excellent knowledge of operational processes involved in mortgage and property lending?• Do you have sound knowledge of the conveyancing process and different security structures involved in retail lending?• Are you able to balance client experience against business and operational risk?• Have you managed multiple deals and tasks in tandem?• CeMap qualification and knowledge of the FCA MCOB & CCA handbook would be advantageous
