Description of role and key responsibilities  

 Private Client Lending Operations (PCLO) is responsible for all post credit operational activities associated with lending to High-net-worth individuals. This includes organising valuations of the security, drafting loan offer letters, engaging with external solicitors, pay away of funds and managing all other post completion lifecycle events.

As a Workflow Lead within Private Client Lending Operations (PCLO), sitting in either ‘Loan Originations' or ‘Sales Ops & Servicing', you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of teams ‘Business as Usual' activities. 

  • You will be expected to enable the team to deliver a high quality of service to our clients whilst ensuring the risk to the business isn't compromised. You will do this by:
  • Ensuring workflow is appropriately allocated and managed amongst the team to meet business and client expectations.
  • Managing team annual leave and absences.
  • Running the team huddles and meetings.
  • Escalating to the Team Manager where issues arise with service levels and performance so they can effectively manage stakeholder communication and prioritise change accordingly. 
  • Being the go-to point for the team and bankers when they need to escalate queries, helping them come to a suitable resolution for both the client and the bank.
  • Acting as an authoriser- approving the teams work where required e.g., large payments. 
  • Supporting the team with ongoing training and development, both at an individual and team level, including ensuring mandatory training is completed, developing training plans for new team members and coaching existing team members to become experts in their field.
  • Applying a continuous improvement mindset to all team activities and processes and escalating where you see opportunities.
  • Representing Lending Operations at meetings with both internal and external stakeholders, including pipeline management meetings with the wider lending business.

 

Core Skills and Knowledge:

  • Experience in managing workflow and approving others work.
  • Experience in coaching individuals towards business and personal goals, as well as improving performance and quality across a team.
  • Excellent knowledge of operational processes and regulatory obligations processes involved in mortgage and personal lending.
  • Proven ability of balancing client experience against business and operational risk.
  • Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels and representing the department at internal and external meetings.

CeMap qualification and knowledge of the MCOB & CCA regulations would be advantageou
