  • Represent Retail Compliance at governance forums when requested to do so (e.g. the Private Client Risk & Conduct Forum) and participate in the business' regular risk assessments from a 2nd line ‘check and challenge' perspective
  • Support the business with the development of appropriate forms of remedial action to address any identified issues
  • Assess regulatory developments to understand the impact on the business and disseminate practical summaries to the business directing them in relation to any action they may need to take
  • Assist in the development of internal policies and procedures in the Private Client business from a 2nd line ‘check and challenge' perspective and help the Head of Retail Compliance to maintain the policies and procedures owned by the Retail Compliance team
  • Review and approve relevant regulated training material for the Private Client business
  • Represent the Bank at relevant industry meetings and groups (e.g. UK Finance)

What are we looking for in you?

  • A number of years' compliance advisory experience in regulated lending
  • Strong and proven working knowledge of FCA regulation with particular emphasis on MCOB, CONC, Consumer Duty + PRA BTL lending regulation and experience of providing advice on these regulations to a regulated firm
  • Sound knowledge of retail lending products for consumers, with experience working with lending to private banking clients welcomed
