Risk Operations Team Lead (UK Offshore - CTR: Mumbai) (8388)

Risk Operations is responsible for delivering the Operational Service required to support the Risk technology platform. We work on several business applications and data warehousing solutions, to name a few: Credit Reporting warehouse (Everest), Trading Data warehouse, Asset Finance warehouse, Risk Reporting Operational Data Store and warehouse, Asset and Liability Management systems (RiskPro and Suade), Group ETL and Adjustment Engine, Data Integration architecture, Operational Risk ODS Adapter & EME.
The candidate would be expected to manage and lead the Application support area as well as support existing solutions, help and guide users on how to use the system, troubleshoot any issues, coordinate the implementation of changes, provide regular MI/Dashboard reporting and lead service review meetings with key stakeholders, recommend ongoing improvements, incident management and manage costs related to environments.
Role and Responsibility:
• Lead the team that provides 1st & 2nd line support to all existing BI solutions and services, data warehouse, applications, troubleshoot any data load failures, application issues, bugs, maintain service desk queue, provide out of hours support when required
• Perform all key stakeholder communications and reporting related to Application Support
• Investigate and resolve Problems and provide information about the application systems
• Problems resolved by correcting faults, making modifications, updating system documentation, manipulating data or defining enhancements
• Take ownership on data quality and troubleshoot any issues raised, work with the data owners to rectify issues
• Escalate to 3rd line support and work with other team members on resolving issues
• Support existing Risk Tech Platforms, reverse engineer, document and improve processes.
• Follow and contribute to departmental development process in terms of standards, methodologies, testing, version control and documentation, drive and implement industry best practises, evaluate and introduce new tools, improve existing ETL framework, data validation framework
• Manage Incident Management, Change Management, BCP/DR and RRP (Recovery and Resolution Plans) tests and user training
• Manage the environments (incl. costs, user access, upgrades, testing data and refreshes) and automation tools
• Manage the team, skills base and team knowledge management
Core skills and knowledge:
• Regulatory Knowledge as applicable to role (compulsory)
• To act with integrity at all times and embrace the philosophy of treating our customers fairly (compulsory)
• Coaching & Assessment (compulsory for Line Managers and other Supervisors)
• Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Preferably with experience of supporting BI solutions using Microsoft stack
• Preferably Investment Banking or Financial Services experience (general products and processes knowledge; market, reference and regulatory data)
• ITIL Foundation qualified/understanding
• Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and above, experience writing queries, stored procedures, views, tables.
• Preferably knowledge of SSIS, script tasks, custom plugins
• Preferably experience of working in a team following Agile/Kanban development practices, using team development tools, working on the same objects.
• Wide knowledge of other tools, vendors, solutions available on the market and applicable to BI space, upcoming releases of new software packages, etc
