About the team:

The Fund Solutions team specialises in providing innovative solutions to private capital fund and fund managers throughout the life cycle of their funds.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to help build out our Fund Solutions offering in the United States of America (“US”). We have a highly successful business model focussed on the UK/European market and are looking expand this into the US.

What will you be doing? 

The Primary responsibility of this role will be to help Originate new to bank clients in the mid-market private capital space in the US and to perform a Relationship Management role post Origination.

Specifically, the role will include: 

Origination

• Originate new to bank US mid-market private equity and infrastructure fund clients
• Engaging with the Syndication team in the UK and the US to build out a distribution strategy where the hold positions are in excess of tolerable risk limits

Execution

• Taking responsibility for Originated deals by taking them through the full process from initial Heads of Terms stage all the way through to deal pay-away, with support from the UK Fund Solutions team
• Working closely with Group Lending Operations and Onboarding to ensure smooth deal delivery processes
• Working with the Syndication team to the extent required throughout the process
• Working with UK Fund Solutions legal team and external legal counsel to execute the deal in accordance with internally approved credit/ risk parameters

Relationship Management (“RM”)

• Working with the UK RM team to build out a RM strategy for the new Originated clients in the US
• Help support the risk management of the US Fund Solutions portfolio of deals

You will also have responsibility for “Franchise Growth” - You will support the growth of the business through identifying new opportunities, working on business strategies and driving the marketing program. 

What are we looking for? 

•    Highly numerate (essential) and demonstrable experience in Origination in the US market
•    Demonstrable experience in building client relationships 
•    Knowledge of financial markets and the fund sector
•    Financial analysis skills (ability to critically review and analyse financing proposals, financial statements and cash flows)
•    Risk awareness and risk mitigation capability 
•    IT literate, Word & Excel
