Senior Business Analyst – EUDA (FTC) (4342)

What we're looking for

The Programme Team has a delivery and strategic planning capabilities which together creates and maintains an achievable and affordable change portfolio for Wealth. Specifically, the Client Data Portfolio delivers a coherent and cohesive change portfolio which is driven by the firm's strategic objectives, in particular, improvements to transacting, settling, accounting and processing.

 

As a Business Analyst, your primary role will be to aid the delivery of change driven by the Programme. You will be tasked with understanding and capturing business processes and change requirements and analysing and documenting these using various tools and techniques. You will be responsible for identify solutions and creating business cases for change. This will mean working and collaborating with stakeholders and the team remotely and in the offices where required.

 

Our Strategic ambition is driving significant change that demands a renewed focus on data. This includes defining and embedding a clear approach to data governance to provide coherence, accessibility, quality and control across our data estate.

 

A programme of work has been established to assess and remediate our End User Computing (EUC) and End User Developed Application (EUDA) Estate.

 

Your role 

  • You will work closely with the Operational Risk team to drive remediation of our EUDA/EUC estate.
  • We are looking for a driven Business Analyst with a passion for and strong experience in resolving discrete, complex legacy technology issues.
  • You will be responsible for identifying and auditing EUDA/EUC's, understanding and documenting the use cases that they play a role within.
  • You will help define a structured approach to assessing criticality and risk and contribute to a revised policy framework
  • You will undertake a policy aligned risk based assessment upon discovery.
  • You will review alternative solutions (including existing applications) and propose remediation approaches where prioritised.
  • You will provide structure and clear reporting.
  • You will form excellent working relationships across business functions and third party suppliers.
  • You will work with management to identify hotspots and prioritise EUDA/EUC activity.
  • You will locate and define new process improvement opportunities

 

What you bring to the table

  • A good understanding of Wealth Management business processes.
  • Experience of analysing existing application sets from a functional and non-functional perspective.
  • Extensive working experience as a business analyst within financial services organisation.
  • Clear experience of Business process analysis and mapping
  • Experience in establishing reporting regimes and embedding within business functions.
  • The ability to influence business stakeholders in adoption of data centric ideas and change.
  • Current with Data Protection and Information Security trends and regulation.
  • Confident in presenting complex content to experienced senior stakeholders and excellent stakeholder management & relationship building skills.
  • Process mapping experience.
  • A clear understanding of practical change management, across various methodologies.
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • Comfortable in agile environments and an outcome driven personality.

Ideally, but not mandatory if experience can be demonstrated

  • Building relationships in complex stakeholder environments.
  • BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
  • Adept in MoSCoW, Process Mapping, Data Analysis and visualisation techniques.
  • Solution investigation and documenting results
  • SQL, Azure, Qlikview, PowerBI, Databricks
  • Organisation modelling, business process analysis and business change identification
  • Evaluating options, preparing and presenting business cases
  • Running effective workshops to understand business requirements
  • Defining and analysing requirements within user stories
