Role: Senior Segment Manager CORE
Team Description
The Marketing department is in the process of evolving and developing in order to drive business growth and revenue over the coming years. The aim is to create a best in class marketing function which enables Investec to be a clear market leader in financial services and build and drive a marketing strategy which separates us from our key competitors.
What you'll be doing?
Work in partnership with our Core Consumer Advice and Investment teams to segment, define and deliver the strategic marketing opportunities within this key profit generating segment of IWI. Strategically focus on Gen X and their wealth needs to lay the foundations of a strong future business.
The role requires a strategic thinker who understands the client centric marketing approach required to deliver a differentiated marketing approach for the range of wealth segments within our core business proposition. Wealth Advisory, Investment Management & MPS marketing experience will be key.
The role requires careful research, planning and analysis whilst leveraging a matrix marketing structure to fully leverage both our Regional Marketing team, our Communications team, data analytics and the central Marketing enablement team.
Skills and experience:
- Develop and refine our core message platform ‘Know where life can take you' for our consumer segments.
- Own ESG messaging for Core clients
- Represent Marketing for all Core segment business change programs and initiatives/NPD activity
- Own client experience within Core segment
- Deliver strategic Marketing plans against agreed budgets to drive new client acquisition and deliver increases in FUM
- Accountable for devising segmented engagement and retention plans for existing Charities
- Driving segmentation across client groups linked closely to insight, research and data
- Deliver robust Core segment journeys which cover on-line and offline channels
- Deliver rich insight through research ensuring current and future predictive analytics shape the marketing and business strategy
- Work closely to identify the full scale marketing delivery channels that best activate the strategic plans – including internal, media and marketing delivery channels
- Build excellent stakeholder relationships with the business – understanding the market, clients, prospects and influencers that require careful targeting
- Drive a predictive approach monitoring and engaging/shaping marketing approach around core metrics with the client, employee and market voice
- Responsible for the budget management and market planning of the charities segment with clearly linked commercial KPIs
Core skills and knowledge
Do you have significant and relevant strategic and delivery marketing experience in the financial services and consumer Wealth Management environment?
Do you have experience of driving Marketing change programs which enhance business KPIs?
Do you deep understanding of Marketing activation across the UK?
Charities journey mapping
Strong knowledge in research, client experience and data analytics to determine the strategic marketing approach
Strong experience in using insights and turning these into actionable marketing programs
Excellent experience of working with Sales and Business Development
Experience of working in a marketing strategy team and driving go to market execution via a matrix structure
Commercially minded – used to working and delivering to KPis
Strong, well evidence background in strategy, planning and analysis marketing
Excellent experience in initiating, creating and driving segmented value propositions through to message development and implementation of campaigns
Other attributes that would be helpful, but not essential for the role
Experience working with multiple product / divisions that requires an umbrella co-ordinated approach
