Team Description

The Marketing department is in the process of evolving and developing in order to drive business growth and revenue over the coming years. The aim is to create a best in class marketing function which enables Investec to be a clear market leader in financial services and build and drive a marketing strategy which separates us from our key competitors.

What you'll do

This is a critical role which will work in partnership with our HNW Segment and define the Private Office ‘go-to market' strategy.  The role is accountable for helping the business x-sell our services to existing clients, and delivering new clients into Investec. A primary focus will be driving leads between our Wealth and Bank businesses.

The role requires a strategic thinker with deep experience of financial services and who understands the client centric marketing approach required to deliver strong and sustained growth within this segment. A strong knowledge in research, planning and analysis is key.

Delivery of Strategic plans will be through a matrix marketing structure and fully embracing our Regional Marketing team and the central business enablement team. 

Core tasks:

  • Development of segmentation which drives business results within our HNW segment
  • Own and deliver the core messaging platform for Private Office and ensure proposition is at the heart of all NPD and change initiatives.
  • Own Marketing plans which deliver new client acquisition and increase FUM while also driving x-sell between Bank and Wealth
  • Accountable for the retention campaigns of existing clients
  • Development of plans to increase FUM from existing B2C clients
  • Accountable for initiating campaigns – planning, executing and gaining team buy in to help prioritise the segment
  • Work across various business units who also target similar segments to ensure a ‘one bank' mind-set, and leverage their go to market plans
  • Deliver rich insight through research ensuring current and future analytics shape the marketing and business strategy for each segment
  • Work closely to identify the full scale marketing delivery channels that best activate the strategic plans – including internal, media and marketing delivery channels
  • Build excellent stakeholder relationships with the business – understanding the market, clients, prospects and influencers that require careful targeting
  • Lead strategy development for HNW digital journeys from Website, Sales Enablement and On-line Account management
  • Responsible for the budget management and market planning of our Private Office segment with clearly linked commercial KPIs

About you!

  • Significant and relevant strategic marketing experience in B2C HNW financial services environment in a complex stakeholder environment
  • Understand Marketing activation across the UK and how to bring a Marketing proposition to life in the consumer and business mind-set
  • B2C HNW journey mapping experience
  • Strong knowledge in research, client experience and data analytics to determine the strategic marketing approach
  • Strong experience in using insights and turning these into actionable marketing programs
  • Excellent experience of working with Sales and Business Development
  • Experience of working in a marketing strategy team and driving go to market teams
  • Commercially minded – used to working and delivering to KPis
  • Strong, well evidence background in strategy, planning and analysis marketing
  • Excellent experience in initiating, creating and driving segmented value propositions through to message development and implementation of campaigns
  • Must have prior knowledge of all marketing delivery channels and how to implement strategy through matrix model
  • Prior knowledge of driving digital marketing strategy and cost effective marketing to niche/small target audiences
  • Understanding of content across all channels
  • Highly computer literate with exceptional PowerPoint and excel skills

Attributes that would be helpful, but not essential for the role.

  • Experience working with multiple product / divisions that requires an umbrella co-ordinated approach
  • Significant stakeholder experience in a challenging environment
  • CIM/IDM qualification
