Social Media Manager

What will my role entail?
Investec is looking for an experienced and passionate social media manager to join the UK marketing team and help lead the evolution of the UK's social media strategy. This is a ‘hands-on' role that requires the ability to run, grow and optimise our social media presence, while simultaneously managing multiple stakeholders and campaigns. The role sits in the high-performing Digital Marketing & Marketing Technology team, where social media is a primary channel that Investec uses to market to and engage with our extensive B2B and B2C audiences.
This is an exciting time to join the Investec marketing team, as the successful candidate will shape and lead the UK's social media activity. This role is an opportunity for someone to take real ownership of Investec's UK social media and online communities, leading in ensuring best practice alongside a strategic focus on lead generation and engagement, while also collaborating with our international colleagues on global activity.
What would my key responsibilities be?
Developing and implementing social media strategies with the aim of increasing brand awareness, lead generation and customer engagement.
Ensuring our social media content and strategy reflects Investec's values and commitments to diversity and inclusion.
Analysing social and other online community activity and developing monthly reports with recommendations on optimisation and continuous improvement plans.
Ensuring efficient and effective social media activity through clear processes and taking active ownership to optimise these processes.
Creating, managing and optimising thumb-stopping organic and paid social content.
Developing and implementing lead generating social campaigns in partnership with the segment marketing teams.
Ensuring social is an integrated part of multi-channel marketing activity and client experiences
Working alongside approved media agencies to ensure the effective implementation of paid social media activity planned for marketing campaigns.
Working with the brand community to develop and optimise engaging social media templates and tone of voice guidance.
Setting measurable goals and KPIs for campaigns and day-to-day activity, including measuring and showing ROI.
Liaising with the Client Support Centre on their management of responses/comments/feedback on our social media and other online communities.
Liaising with and upskilling the wider marketing team to create effective social strategies rooted in best practice.
Staying up-to-date with the latest social media trends and digital technologies and making recommendations about new opportunities.
Developing a strategy and approach for employee social media advocacy, including educating the business and showcasing successes in this space.
Developing an optimisation strategy for how we use and engage with online communities, such as on review platforms..
