We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sustainability Programme Manager – Environment to join our UK Sustainability Team. In this role, you will play a vital part in shaping and delivering our Social Impact strategy, focusing on environmental initiatives that make a difference.

As the Sustainability Programme Manager, you will support the UK Sustainability Team Lead and the UK Social Impact Strategic Lead in developing and executing initiatives that promote environmental sustainability. Your expertise in project management and stakeholder engagement will be crucial in managing partnerships and delivering impactful programmes.

What you will be doing:

• Partnership Management:

  • Oversee core environment-focused partnerships, including The Conservation Volunteers, The London Wildlife Trust, and The Felix Project.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships, reporting, budget oversight, and communications to ensure alignment with Investec's Social Impact strategy.

• Programme Delivery:

  • Lead the management of environmental programmes and initiatives, ensuring they align with established goals and objectives.
  • Develop strong relationships with partner organisations, employee volunteers, and stakeholders to enhance programme effectiveness.

• Employee Volunteering:

  • Coordinate and lead environmental employee volunteering initiatives, identifying projects and managing logistics to ensure successful execution.
  • Plan and deliver engaging volunteering events that promote environmental awareness internally and externally.

• Education and Engagement:

  • Co-chair the Sustainability Squad, driving engagement and promoting sustainable changes across the business.
  • Develop innovative campaigns to educate staff on environmental issues and encourage positive behavioural changes.

• Marketing and Communications:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to implement communication strategies that highlight the impact of our environmental initiatives.
  • Maintain a library of resources for internal and external communications, showcasing our achievements and encouraging participation.

• Reporting and Governance:

  • Monitor employee involvement in volunteering activities and contribute to sustainability reporting.
  • Stay informed on environmental legislation and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

What we are looking for:

• Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the financial or professional services sector.
• Strong passion for environmental and social impact, with a commitment to integrity and fairness.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and build relationships.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Creative thinker with a proactive attitude, able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience in organising events, workshops, or webinars is highly desirable.

As part of our collaborative & agile culture, our working week is 4 days in the office and one day remote.
