Description of role and key responsibilities

PA support for specific sector team/s of Investment Banking working across the team and at different levels;
• Client liaison on behalf of the Directors and team, maintain diaries within Outlook and assisting day to day functions of team;
• Arranging and co-ordinating client and internal meetings, lunches, presentations and other client functions;
• Production and maintenance of electronic documents in Word, PowerPoint, Excel formats including printing and binding;
• Type and deal with general correspondence;
• Arranging travel, visa's as required;
• Maintain client relationship database on CRM, tracking meetings and weekly WIP updates;
• Dealing with and keeping on top of expenses;
• Provide full assistance for the PA team plus full telephone coverage for the department ;
• Deal with matters which are of a confidential nature;
• Filing documents for the team;
• RNS Announcements; and
Perform any other duties which may reasonably be required.

Core skills and knowledge

Skills and how they are applied
• Advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ability to work well as part of a team;
• Strong organisational skills; and
• Ability to properly use the relevant IT applications.
Investec specific knowledge and how it is applied
• Knowledge of the internal operating procedures;
• Knowledge of the internal compliance procedures; and
• Knowledge of the internal reporting lines and who must be referred to in the event of a query/problem and when such a referral is desirable/essential

Any other attributes that would be helpful, but not essential for the role.

Qualifications
• A minimum of 5 GCSE's or equivalent including Maths & English Language
• Must have advanced Word and PowerPoint and Intermediate Excel skills
• Advanced knowledge of Outlook
• Attention to detail (essential)
• Must be prepared to be flexible with working hours (core hours 8.30 am – 6.00 pm)
