Treasury Risk Solutions Dealer

This is an exciting opportunity for you to be part of an ambitious, diverse and dynamic, growing team that is looking to challenge the convention of how corporate clients consider their currency risk management as part of a fresh Corporate Banking offering to mid-to large sized European corporates. With current teams based in Dublin and Netherlands, this role will support our expansion into Europe and have an initial focus on the Dutch market.

Treasury Risk Solutions Dealers are responsible for converting, embedding and retaining clients for Investec Europe Limited through delivering exceptional service for their FX currency and interest rate risk management and collaborating with other teams to support the growth of our clients. The purpose of the role is to build a portfolio of corporate clients (within a defined target market) using Investec to manage their FX risks and introduce other services offered by Investec Europe Limited.

This is achieved by high levels of activity making pro-active phone calls to update on market trends, taking the initiative to support the client improve their understanding of their FX and interest rate risk and constantly develop our understanding of their business and build long term relationships.  This will all be monitored against a specific individual revenue target.

What will you be doing?

In this role you will be responsible for embedding and retaining client relationships through delivering a world class treasury relationship experience:

• Introductory Engagement: Coordinate an introductory call with Treasury Sales to create a positive first impression for new clients.
• Client Handover: Maintain a close relationship with Treasury Sales to ensure a smooth transition and handover of clients.
• Rapport Building: Quickly establish rapport with clients to understand their service needs and expectations.
• Online Platform Promotion: Seamlessly introduce the iX online platform, highlighting its benefits as part of a high-touch service.
• Client Research: Conduct thorough research on each client to identify and capture all potential opportunities.
• Data Management: Collect and log relevant client data accurately in the CRM system for effective tracking.
• Portfolio Management: Ensure first-class management of client portfolios, scheduling future activities and adhering to them.
• Suitability Diligence: Verify that all onboarding details and limits are properly uploaded, ensuring compliance with suitability procedures.
• Relationship Development: Maintain proactive communication with clients, building personal relationships and understanding their business needs.
• Team Collaboration: Demonstrate a team player mentality by assisting colleagues, covering client calls, and fostering strong internal relationships across departments.

What are we looking for?

• We are looking for an individual who is open to travel within Europe, with proven dealing experience in FX and interest rate derivative product experience.  An English speaker with Dutch or German language skills a distinct advantage.
• This person requires a proactive and energetic personality with the enthusiasm to make a difference and excel.
• We are looking for someone with dealing experience across treasury products, who is hard-working, pro-active, shows initiative and challenges the status quo.  Strong numerical and analytic skills are also prioritised to support working with clients to provide the most effective strategies.
• Hunger and persistence to convert new clients into trading clients.
• Empathy and diligence to embed these relationships, and pro-activity, passion and skill to develop these client relationships within the team and across the wider bank.

As part of our collaborative & agile culture, our working week is 4 days in the office and one day remote.
