About the team:
You'll join the Treasury Risk Solutions team within the Private Companies Group, a dynamic and growth-focused area of the bank.
We are an ambitious, collaborative and high-energy sales team focused on delivering bespoke treasury solutions to corporate clients. Our aim is to build long-term relationships by providing exceptional client experiences and connecting businesses to the full breadth of Investec's offering.
What will I be doing?
- As a Treasury Sales Specialist, you will play a key role in driving new business and expanding our corporate client base. Your responsibilities will include:
- Business Development: Generate and convert new-to-bank opportunities through campaigns, networking, events and proactive outreach
- Client Acquisition: Meet prospective clients, understand their treasury needs and onboard them successfully
- Client Onboarding: Manage the end-to-end onboarding process, including account setup and KYC requirements
- Relationship Management: Own the client relationship during the first year, transitioning into a broader relationship role over time
- Collaboration: Work closely with trading, marketing, compliance and product teams to deliver client solutions
- Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate CRM records, deliver weekly reporting and actively manage your sales pipeline
- Team Contribution: Support colleagues, build strong internal relationships and champion the “One Bank” approach
What do I need to bring?
Mandatory requirements:
- Experience in a client-facing sales or business development role, ideally within financial services
- A strong understanding of foreign exchange markets, with experience in pitching FX products and solutions to clients
