This is an opportunity to shape and lead the operational capability supporting Investec's UK Wealth proposition. Working within the Banking Operations Team for  Private Client and Retail Operations, you will help design the operating model, client journeys, controls and governance needed for launch, before taking accountability for end-to-end operational delivery as the proposition moves into service.

What will I be doing?

• Provide operational leadership for the UK Wealth proposition, ensuring the operating model supports client needs commercial objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Define and establish the end-to-end operational capability, including processes, ownership, service standards, controls, governance and outsourcing arrangements.
• Design and implement the operational CASS framework, covering client money processes, reconciliations, controls, management information, breach escalation and assurance.
• Translate operational requirements, risks, dependencies and readiness criteria into clear deliverables, working closely with programme and change colleagues.
• Identify and resolve capability gaps, control requirements and operational dependencies across the client lifecycle.
• Take accountability for day-to-day operational delivery once the proposition is live, including service performance, issue resolution, operational resilience and continuous improvement.
• Oversee key outsourced delivery relationships, ensuring effective service management, control monitoring, escalation and accountability.
• Embed Consumer Duty, conduct risk, client outcomes and first-line risk management into operational design, governance and ongoing service delivery.

What are we looking for?

• Strong experience leading operations or operational change within wealth management, private banking, financial advice, investment management or another regulated financial services environment.
• Practical knowledge of CASS requirements, including client money processes, reconciliations, controls, governance, breach management, management information and assurance.
• Experience spanning operating model design, proposition implementation, operational readiness and the transition into live operational management.
• A strong understanding of wealth management client and adviser journeys, service models, operational processes and end-to-end control environments.
• Experience delivering complex change across business, technology, platform, operations, risk and compliance teams.
• A practical understanding of UK regulatory requirements, Consumer Duty, conduct risk, operational resilience and first-line risk management.
• Experience overseeing outsourced or third-party operational relationships, including service performance, risk management, issue escalation and governance.
• Strong judgement, problem-solving, influencing and communication skills, with the ability to bring structure, clarity and accountability to complex environments.
